   It looks at the photo

   Is there a face? Is it night, food, sky? It reads the tonal range, the time of day and the ISO, so an evening glow or the mood of a night scene is never flattened.

   It separates the scene

   People, faces, sky, trees, grass, flowers, sea, food and buildings are separated pixel by pixel. An on-device model that recognises 201 classes (85MB) ships inside the app.

3. 03

   A different edit for each area

   Deeper sky. Natural greens. Appetising food. A dark face gently lifted. Nothing is applied to the whole frame at once. This is what a professional retoucher does.

   It protects skin

   Skin colour is measured from the face and corrected if it drifts green or orange. When people are in the frame, clarity and sharpening are held back automatically.

5. 05

   It prevents accidents

   Deep shadows are kept from crushing, bright frames from clipping, night scenes from being over-brightened, and backlit shots get only their shadows lifted.

6. 06

   It checks its own work

   After editing, the AI inspects the result for crushed blacks, clipped highlights, oversaturation and unnatural skin. If it fails, it softens the settings and tries again, up to three times. Only a pass is shown.
